It's been a good day since Saturday , the Diwali and Raya Break . After I dropped all my big bags and dirty laundry home , I went shopping with my mom . Bought lotsa stuffs . More clothes , more shoes , more handbags , more perfume and more body care products . Surprisingly , I even bought a red bikini ( which I don't even know if I'll wear it in public with nothing else ) . Perhaps when my body is more toned , perhaps in the next milennium .
It's so unfair . During the fasting month , I pray 5 times a day and I drink lotsa water after buka , all the way till sahur . Yet I woke up Sunday morning with a sore throat so bad that I wish I my dentist would inject some painkiller just to make the pain would go away .
But hey , I thought its just a bloody sorethroat . So to make myself feel good , I went shopping with my mom ( again ) and my bro . This time I became his fashion consultant . My brother , being the second child in the family is forever lost in his own world . He never buys clothes unless we ( the girls of the family ) bring him out to buy some . And he's the type who doesn't care - any shirt will do ( Unlike Mark who only wears Armani ) . So when I dragged him into Calvin Klein Jeans , he said the clothes were too fashionable , and some designs were too girlish . Ok . So I also brought him into Timberland - and despite the price factor , he's not willing to spend that much on just a piece of cloth . And the colours were apparently for "old" people . Some other shops - too gay .
(P/S : CK and Timberland , pls don't sue my bro for defamation ! He's just a boy who's lost when it comes to fashion )
Not to give up . So I brought him to Topshop . Finally he found something at Topman , which I also happen to approve . The problem with Topshop clothes - they cost a bomb but some of the designs look dirt cheap . I'm sorry but it's true . And after that I brought him to Renoma , and thank God he found lotsa stuffs that interested him . Ok - so that was shopping for my bro .
Remeber the red silk skirt for MNG ? I tried it on yesterday . I swear its not the illusions from the mirrors , I look super hot in the skirt ( I have always looked hot in red anyway , it's really my colour ) . And as I mentioned , it was RM 315 . So I asked the shop assistant to keep it aside for me while I go and withdraw some cash ( why use credit cards when you have cash right ? It defeats the whole purpose of it being called "credit" card ) . And OMG - I actually went shopping for shoes , then it was only when I reached home that I forgot all about the skirt !!! I hope no one grabs the skirt before I do .
Please just leave the red skirt ( yes that little piece of heaven ) in size 38 alone .
When I got back home , my sorethroat got worse , but I didn't wanna waste my whole day of fasting . So I just played PS2 all the way till 7pm . I really wasn't in the mmod to see the doctor - I already know what he's gonna prescribed for my sorethroat , in fact I wished I could just go to the pharmacist and get it myself . First its Amoxycilin 250mg , then its Curam 650mg . But , no , the bloody damn regulation requires a prescription from a certified doctor . So I just drank lotsa water and sucked on a few lozenges .
Anyway , the real purpose of me blogging today is to share with you my new intersting hobby - DOING LAUNDRY . Hey , don't gimme that look . Of course , I've always hated housework . I remembered one time my mom asked me to mop the floor , I just sat there and cried . Then my dad came from upstairs and did the mopping for me instead . So after that , my mom never asked me to do housework anymore . We also once had the rotating dishwashing system . Everyone does the dishes alternately . First my dad , then my mom , then me , my bro and my sis - and it rotates accordingly . Then my skin started peeling . And the next day - a dishwasher was delivered to my house . Haha - I'm such a spoilt brat . I know .
But lately , when I come back from ktj during the hols and all , I actually do the laundry , which surprises my whole family !! But then again , try and get those brains to work . It only makes perfect sense - since I'm such a shopaholic ! Since I spent so much on clothes , I must take good care of them . I must care and tender to them , following their needs . If they're too delicate for the washing machine and the dryer , I hand-wash them . I've never been so proud of myself !! But bere are a few factors trigerring my love for doing laundry .
Some people just don't read . The labels always say - wash dark colours separately . What is just so hard to understand ?
- The laundry system in KTJ really sux . My white shorts always come back pink in colour . What kind of idiot washes dark colours and light colours together ?
- My parents love to shove my expensive jeans in the dryer . They'll crumple !!! And the colours bleed to other clothes !!! And they fade way faster then its actually supposed to !!!
- No matter how hard I iron , the wrinkles won't go away . Lesson learnt : Jeans and clothes dryer - they just don't go .
- Last month , there was actually nothing white in my wardrobe . It's because my white garments were all washed with dark colours . So most of them are , without any surprise , PINK . And unevenly spread .
- I even had to buy new pairs of school socks because they were all pink
- I actually feel good after doing laundry ( stop giving me weird looks ! )
- Some dry cleaning stores have cute guys waiting at the counter . You also meet new people . Of course , you don't wanna spend RM 2000 on a nice blouse and spoil it by sending it to the washing machine , right ?
- Doing laundry is actually fun ! How could anyone not like it ?
Ok , my nose is killing me . They just won't stop producing mucus !!! It's bad enough that I have sinus , now I can't stop blowing . Another wasted day - I had to break my fast to take some flu pills . I'm gonna go get some hot soup and later admire my wardrobe . And maybe organise my shoe cupboard . Now I have a bad sorethroat and a bad flu . Damn .
