Very straightforward with little or no sugar coating , extreme cynicism and sarcasm at times , loves her dearly beloveds , enjoys indulging in good food , believes that diamonds are forever and shops like there's no tomorrow . Often mistaken as the bimbotic intellectual .

I'll Be There For You

You hear people say that to you almost all the time . People close to you . People who want to get close . People who want to be there for you . People who want to prove that you mean something to them . Or maybe more . It's a subtle way to say " Just call me and I'll be there" . Very sweet gesture . Very noble indeed . You know that even when you're in the deepest of hot waters at least someone will be there to help .

But its not always necessarily true is it ? They say they'll be there for you . Statutory interpretation follows . Is it conditional or unconditional ? Time lags ? Is there a payback factor ?

Sometimes when people come to the rescue it is often a tad late . Or they were caught in circumstances which unabled them to be there immediately . They might expect you to do the same should the situation be reversed . Common courtesy says yes , one good deed deserves another .

So at most times and may I emphasise on most , when people say it , I wouldn't completely reply on it . It pays to get help . Which is why I have to be independent and depend on no one . But when people promise you they'll be there for you , and you take every word for word , then they're guilty of piling up false hopes for you , and you're guilty for being so gullible . Either way , it was never a win-win situation . Sucks huh ? You can't even twist it to your own advantage .

"I thought you'd always be there fo me ?"

"I did , but....... , and you know how it is . You have to understand ."

I guess the same goes for the phrase " I'd do anything for you" . Giving false hopes is one of the worse mental crimes ever . It is even more damaging then afflicting grevious bodily harms . At least that's what I think .
